Iowa

Eldora, IA has the coolest playground I’ve seen. While the new plastic “modern” playgrounds are nice, they’re all the same. Go to one playground, you’ve been to them all. This one…still made of wood, had tunnels, bridges, slides, ladders, nooks and crannies to keep any imagination active. There was so much to it that I don’t think Amelia found every place she could have explored.

One afternoon Ryan got out Desmond’s kite and attempted to fly it (since there’s almost always good kite flying wind in IA). We had a couple of crashes, but it was fun to get everyone out of the house on a nice afternoon.

Unfortunately, we had to head home just days before Elizabeth’s birthday, so we decided to celebrate early.
