Amelia and I dyed Easter eggs for the first time this year. She loved the project and was very good at putting the eggs into the dye and swirling them around. She enjoyed decorating them after they dried as well. It turned out to be a really fun, and somewhat easy project for us. We had Easter at home. At this age (2 1/2), she understands when we tell her that a holiday is coming up. So, she was pretty excited when I woke her up in the morning to tell her that the Easter Bunny had left a basket for her. When she saw her basket, she just stood there looking at it for a few moments before gently picking up a wooden necklace he had left for her. Then she picked up each item and carefully inspect it and then ask if it was for her. She was pretty cute.
Amelia and I spent a lot of the month of April in Wiscasset helping Mom. We went to the playground when we could. Amelia liked having one so close. She also loved being so close to her Mimi. Artie and I went on a cruise with Scott and Nicole at the end of the month. It was the first time we left Amelia for more than a night or two. Just before we left, Elizabeth and Desmond came for a visit. We only got to spend a day with them, but it was so great to see them. Amelia loves her cousin (and aunt) and can’t wait to see them again…in just a week!
